Cause

Payment status does not allow cancellation (must be pending or draft) — it may have already succeeded, failed, or been cancelled.

Partner action

Only cancel payments that are still pending or draft. If the payment already succeeded, refund it instead of cancelling it.

Gando action (internal)

Guard POST /payments/{id}/cancel on payment.status, re-syncing from Inflow first if a sub-merchant payment id is known.
